COME PULL AN ALL-NIGHTER AT THE GLADSTONE! Nuit Gladstone III  Sunset to Sunrise Sat Oct 4 7pm to 7am Sun Oct 5, 2008 An all night extravaganza of art exhibitions and entertainment produced by the Gladstone Hotel in celebration of Scotia Bank Nuit Blanche. As an official Nuit Blanche Partner the Gladstone Hotel will present over 100 artists and performers in two floors of the hotel. Local artists and musicians present live music, performances, art exhibitions, installations, and receptions from dusk until dawn in the hotel's Ballroom, Melody Bar, Art Bar, and 2nd Floor Exhibitions Spaces.   ENTERTAINMENT AND EATS MELODY BAR: FREE! 7pm-9pm         Live Music and Burlesque - Skin Tight Outta Sight Live Burlesque 9pm-3am         Karaoke – Kick Ass Karaoke with host Peter Styles BALLROOM: FREE! 7am-7pm         Eyes on Toronto Nuit Blanche Marathon Edition Toronto’s live indie "talk show" and host Stephen Eyes present a special multi-media showcase of local artists. Comedic, visual and performance arts will connect in this participatory extravaganza.  A live web broadcast will bring the night to the world. PERFORMANCES: FREE! Skin Tight Outta Sight Live Burlesque – live performances every hour in different spaces throughout the hotel EATS: 5pm-1am         EAT! DRINK! Enjoy a beer and a burger or late night munchies in the Melody Bar while you tap your foot to…live music programmed from 7pm 5am                 Brunch – it’s the best way to end your night (or start your day!) Tuck into an early brunch while you wait for the sunrise accompanied by our mellow musical vibes. EXHIBITIONS AND INSTALLATIONS SECOND FLOOR: FREE! 7pm to 12am           upArt Contemporary Art Fair 2008 upArt is a new contemporary art fair produced by the Gladstone Hotel, Toronto ON, which showcases site-specific installations within the backdrop of our historic hotel. upArt focuses on the diversity of contemporary art practices providing an opportunity for artists, curators, galleries or institutions to showcase one new installation/project produced by an individual or in collective collaboration. Each participant will create a temporary, unique environment for visitors to behold and experience. This is not a salon style art fair! upArt is curated by Chris Mitchell and Jade Rude and runs Oct 2-5 coinciding with the Toronto International Art Fair and Toronto’s Scotia Bank Nuit Blanche. Admission will be free during Nuit Blanche Oct 4 from 7pm-12am. ART BAR: FREE 7pm to 7am     Roger Hupman - EL CRANEO 100 PAPER SKULLS: Each skull, loosely based on the Mexican "Day of the Dead". During construction, they seem to have acquired moods and personalities, from dark to festive, royalty to village idiot; all people you may have known. TOO TIRED TO GO ON? WHY NOT GET A ROOM?
